Still have questions about our program or yoga liability insurance in general? No worries! The beYogi tribe is available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM ET. And we have an after-hours line, too! Contact us via online chat, telephone, or email, and we’ll get you the answers you need.
Many yoga instructors only teach part-time, but still require insurance coverage, and many insurers only provide a single pricing option. Fortunately, beYogi has a policy designed specifically for the needs of part-time instructors. At only $159, it’s the most affordable coverage available today.
beYogi’s policy is less expensive than other companies’ part-time policies, and provides even more extensive coverage.
Other policies restrict you how many hours you can work a week, often limiting you to only 6 hours. If you go over the allotted hours, your insurance is voided – leaving you uncovered.
beYogi’s policy covers you for up to 10 hours of instruction, and has the same $3 million in annual coverage ($2 million per occurrence) as our professional policy.
If you’re working more than 10 hours, consider our full-time professional policy and get complete coverage, no matter how much time you spend in the studio, for only $20 more.

What kind of insurance does a part-time yoga instructor need?
Part-time yoga instructor insurance needs to have generous coverage limits for the most common types of liabilities inherent to the industry. For yoga instructors, general and professional liability coverage is absolutely vital. These two pillars of liability insurance provision for claims relating to accidents or injuries in or around your place of business (general liability) or in relation to the instruction you provided (professional liability).Going far beyond the bare minimum, at beYogi we provide insurance born in the real world. We make sure our part-time instructors are covered with additional protections like product liability coverage and rental damage insurance. Further safeguards like stolen equipment coverage and an identity protection plan provide peace of mind; allowing our instructors to pass along their skills to students without worrying about the what-ifs of a future claim.
Does part-time yoga insurance include the same benefits as full-time insurance?
Absolutely! With beYogi’s policies, part-time instructors receive the same coverage limits and access to member benefits as our full-time members. Our policies come with more than $300 in member benefits so our yogis can maximize the investment they make in us. Benefits like a free professional website, free teacher resources, early access deals and discounts, and exclusive content access affords many ways to find something that specifically appeals to your yogic journey.
Most part-time yoga insurance policies on the market put the cap of weekly hours at six but our tribe uses a cap of ten hours per week. If you want to teach more than that, no problem, just $20 more and you can purchase a full-time professional yoga insurance policy.
Where can I teach yoga part-time and still be covered?
Full portability built into our policies means within all 50 U.S. states your beYogi yoga insurance policy provides coverage. Everywhere from the personal studio, to in-home sessions, to national chain studios, to a session in a park on a sunny day is afforded the same level of protection. Wherever is best for you and your business to provide services, feel free to do so knowing your coverage follows you no matter where you go.
What are the coverage limits for part-time yoga insurance?
Our policies blend great coverage and affordability seamlessly. Part-time yoga insurance comes with a $2 million for each occurrence and $3 million individual annual aggregates for general and professional liability claims. Product liability coverage comes with a limit set at a $2 million individual annual aggregate. Damage to a rented property is covered up to $100,000. Stolen equipment is covered up to $1,000 with a $250 deductible.
Does part-time yoga insurance cover you if you work for a national chain?
Absolutely. Full portability means our members are covered no matter when or where they provide service. If you change jobs, change states, or change yoga styles, you’ll still receive the same great coverage under your beYogi yoga insurance policy.
How do you view your part-time yoga insurance membership documents?
A policy is only as good as the access you have to your vital policy documents so we try and make it easy for our members to find their policy information all in one easy-to-navigate place. Our state-of-the-art member portal allows you to view all your policy documents and view and pay bills from anywhere in the world where you have internet connection.
Does part-time yoga insurance come as an occurrence form policy?
Definitely. We choose to offer occurrence form policies because it affords members coverage for any incident that occurs while their policy is still in effect. When a student waits months to file a claim it could mean your policy has already expired and you’ve moved onto something else. With occurrence form coverage, the event in question would still have coverage per the provisions of the policy even if it occurs after the policy expiration. Without occurrence form coverage, a claim that’s filed after your policy has expired is almost never covered unless special tail coverage was specifically purchased.
