Boost Your Yoga Teaching
In this hour-long workshop, we will uncover what has been holding you back so that you can finally gain the confidence you need to completely level up your yoga teaching game and help more people in the process. Grab a pen and some paper and let's get to it!
Step 1: Build Confidence
So you just graduated from your yoga teacher training. Now what? Approaching the real world of yoga teaching can feel daunting and impossible for many yogi's which is why building confidence in yourself is key to your future success.
If you're struggling to feel confident in your next steps, focus on these questions:
- Why did I initially sign up for YTT?
- What is my dream yoga career? For example, leading retreats, building an online community, teaching at a studio, etc.
- What is making me give up or scale back on those dreams?
When you know what's limiting you from fully perusing your dream, you can start to tackle it at the root. Focus on the "why" behind your yoga teaching and draw on the confidence from within!
Step 2: Get More Students
Once you are on the path to your dream yoga teaching career, attracting and maintaining students to your practice can be difficult. When growing your student list, one of the most important things you can do is focus on yourself. Sounds weird right?
When you focus on showing up authentically, genuinely connecting with your students, and drawing inspiration from why you started your own yoga journey, students will naturally be drawn to you. Transparency will allow you to relate to your students and provide them with real support through their struggles.
Step 3: Get To The Next Step
Never stop investing in yourself! Just because you complete your YTT or reach your current yoga teaching goal doesn't mean there aren't more ways you can expand your knowledge. There's always a next step in your learning journey.
Here are a few things to remember as you continue to try and grow:
- Keep putting one foot in front of the other: Do one small thing every day to improve yourself, your teaching, or your personal practice
- Being scared never goes away: Draw on the confidence within and remember your "why"
- Continue to invest in yourself-read yoga books, do trainings, and focus on personal development
